Join us for this very fascinating tale of how users attempted to avoid the tolls.   The Branchport-Penn Yan Plank Road was a key road in the life of Branchport residents in the years 1849-1879.  It provided better travel between the two towns, faster and able to handle heavier loads than a normal dirt road -- but at the cost of a toll.  This lecture was recorded by Jerry Lange at the Branchport Library in 2017.  Call (607) 292-3450 or (607) 569-2045 for further details.  Open to the public.  Donations accepted.
