Dog Control Officer

The Dog Control Officer is responsible for the safety of the general public to maintain the dog population within the Town of Wayne while following state regulations and laws along with local law. 

The Town of Wayne strives to work closely with our municipal shelter in Howard, NY to ensure safe and happy households for dogs that need homes.

Annual Rabies Clinic
The third Saturday in June
June 16, 2018    1 - 3 pm
Town Barn
Free of charge, though voluntary donations accepted. Open to all county residents. Rabies vaccinations are for dogs, cats and domesticated ferrets. All dogs must be on leashes. All cats need to be confined to a carrier. Animals must be at least 3 months of age to receive rabies shots.
