Town Clerk

The Town Clerks work hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 4pm, and Saturdays by appointment. The clerk is responsible for keeping records of the Town Board meetings and records of contracts and agreements the Town makes.

The Town Clerk receives and records various documents such as land evidence records, vital statistics, voter registration, election information, claim submissions and requests for access to public documents. Vital records are kept from 1890 to the present.

This office also processes the various certificates, licenses, and permits stated below:
  • Marriage License
  • Dog License
  • Hunting, & Fishing License - fee varies
  • Birth Certificates
  • Death Certificates
  • Handicap Parking Permits
  • Voter Registration Application
  • FOIL (Freedom of Information) Requests
  • Notary Public


The Town Clerk is the Tax Collector for town and county tax payments from January through March 31 only.

The Town Clerk, with the Dog Control Officer, co-ordinates the annual Free Rabies Clinic.

The Town Clerk takes and maintains minutes of all Town Board meetings.

The Town Clerk has information and links to a variety of services for residents and seniors.
